UF Web Administration

What is the Office of Web Administration?

Our Mission

Web Administration coordinates the overall university Web presence by providing consulting and outreach assistance to other university offices and departments on campus. It is also responsible for ensuring that all Web page development meets the University of Florida's (UF) Acceptable Use Policy standards in order to meet the needs of UF's critical audiences.

What is Web Presence at UF?

The overall university Web presence includes sites that are in the critical path of finding information about UF. These sites represent the university as a whole, generally acting as a conduit to other UF Web sites.

Other units on campus have their own Web presence, separate from the university Web presence. Some units, such as the College of Engineering, have their own resources dedicated to maintaining their Web presence. In other cases, Web Administration has stepped in where no other resources could be found to maintain important university sites, such as www.president.ufl.edu and www.trustees.ufl.edu. In these cases, it is imperative to always consider our focus on our core, high-value sites.
