About Campus Web Managers
In July 2000, the Office of the Provost asked that all UF unit heads appoint Web managers. Web managers serve as the primary contact for a unit's Web site(s) and are responsible for ensuring that they are in compliance with university policy. At the college and division level, web managers are administratively responsible for the main pages of their unit and also serve as a point of contact between the UF Web Administrator and the managers for each of the offices, departments, centers, etc. that fall under that college or division. In the future, Web managers will also have administrative priviliges to access certain Web-based services for their unit. Such privileges may include requesting a UF domain name, registering a Web site with the UF Web Site Listing, or creating a news/event channel on the MyUFL portal.
Updating Contact Information
The contact information for each unit's web manager is the same information displayed by the UF Electronic Phonebook. This information can be updated by each unit's phonebook coordinator. Coordinators can be identified through the UF Computing Help Desk at 392-HELP, helpdesk@ufl.edu. To change the name or e-mail address for the technical contact, please contact Web Administration at the address below.
Changing Managers/Contacts
New submissions must include:
- Unit's name
- Web manager's name
- Technical contact's name (If different)
- Technical contact's e-mail address (If different)
