About Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith is an instructional designer with the UF Center for Instructional Technology and Training, a unit of Academic Technology. She taught costume technology in UF's Theatre and Dance program for 12 years. She was one of the first faculty members to make use of Flash to teach a fully Web-based course for which she received an Award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning and Technology from the International Conference on College Teaching and Learning.

She has developed Web materials for the Florida Department of Education in addition to various departments within the university. One of her recent instructional design projects, Cropview, received a UF/IFAS Gold Image Award in addition to the Certificate of Excellence from the American Society of Agronomy.
